紫砂壶是人们日常生活中用以沏茶和饮茶的一种实用器具,因其悠久的制作历史和精美的艺术造型成为一种极具观赏和收藏价值的艺术品。湖州长兴有着丰富的紫砂陶土资源,是浙江省出产紫砂工艺品的主要产地。作为当代长兴紫砂烧制技艺的见证者,中国陶瓷艺术大师、湖州市长兴县新槐紫砂窑业厂的掌门人程苗根自1984年涉足紫砂陶艺,数十年精益求精,为中国紫砂工艺的传承和发扬光大做出了杰出的贡献。
