From Shanghai’s Shikumen House to Jiaxing’s South Lake——Retracing the road of the 1st CPC National Congress

今年79岁的包培荣是嘉兴市人大常委会的退休干部,也是一名有着57年党龄的老党员。他怀着崇敬之情,参加嘉兴市人大常委会组织的'重走一大路'机关党日活动,老人再一次来到了熟悉的上海石库门中共'一大'会址。96年前的那个夏天。

Bao Peirong, aged 79, is a retired cadre of the Standing Committee of Jiaxing People’s Congress as well as an old Party member of 57 years’ standing. He attended the activity of "retracing the road of the 1 st CPC National Congress" organized by the Standing Committee of Jiaxing People’s Congress with respect and visited the familiar Shikumen house in Shanghai once again.On the summer of 96 years ago, the 1 st CPC National Congress was held in the small hall of only 18 square meters of a Shikumen house in Shanghai. Several days later, the congress had to transfer to a boat in the South Lake of Jiaxing. Both Jiaxing and Shanghai, the two congress sites, have been written into the glorious history of CPC. The activity made the old man feel excited and obtain a deeper understanding of revitalizing China.
