建设高水平民办大学是我国民办高等教育发展的必然选择。高水平民办大学应坚持办学公益性,具有鲜明的办学特色,既拥有高水平的师资队伍、科研成果和管理水平,也拥有充足的经费保障等。但反观现实,我国相当一批优质民办本科高校与此相距甚远,高水平民办大学建设仍面临着不少问题。这就迫切需要民办高校以转变办学理念为突破口,创新办学思路和人才培养模式,多渠道筹集办学资金,加强师资队伍和学科专业建设,提升教师科研能力,加快建立现代大学制度,为高水平民办大学建设奠定坚实的基础。

Building high standard non-governmental institutions of higher learning is an inevitable choice that China needs make for the development of its non-governmental higher education. High standard non-governmental institutions of higher learning are required to consider public benefits and show distinctive characteristics. They have not only top-quality faculties,outstanding research achievements,and high management standard,but also sufficient funding. However,the reality is far away from this and the construction of high standard non-governmental institutions of higher learning is facing varieties of problems. Thus,taking the transformation of management concept as the breakthrough point,non-governmental institutions of higher learning are urgently required to innovate in management and talent cultivation model,raise funding in diverse ways,enhance the construction of faculty and specialty and the scientific research ability,and accelerate the building of modern university system,so as to lay a solid foundation for the building of high standard non-governmental institutions of higher learning.
