In the new century, in order to maintain the leading position in the world, America has intentionally begun to make a shift of strategic prioritytowards the Asia-Pacific region. The current American administration has issued a 'return to Asia policy', ultimately determining the so-called US strategic rebalance in the region, as Obama highlighted his work toward the recent conclusion of the US military engagements in Iraq and Afghanistan. With the Asia Pacific rebalancing strategy forward, the United States has greatly increased to intervene in the East and South Asian affairs. Against this background, the US- India relations have quickly warmed up while the risk of the Sino-US confrontation is now rising. Meanwhile, the relationship between China and India is now becoming more and more complex.
