翻译就是将以一种语言为载体的信息转换成以另一种语言为载体的信息,它不仅仅是两种语言的转换,更是两种文化的交流与沟通。因此,要在两种语言之间成功的进行翻译,除了需要通晓这两种语言文字,还必须了解这两种语言文字背后所处的文化,尤其是深刻理解这两种文化之间的差异。本文从地域文化、习俗文化、宗教文化、历史文化、思维文化等文化层面,分析英汉文化差异对翻译的影响。

Translation is actually the conversion of the information carried in one language into another. Translation,to a certain extent, is not only the language conversion,but also the exchange and communication between two different cultures. Therefore,in order to get the proper and authentic translation, we have to well master the two languages and deeply understand the two cultures, especially the differences between them. This paper analyzes the influence of the differences between the Chinese Culture and Western Culture towards the translation, from the perspectives of area,custom,religion,history,thoughts and so on.
