Analysis on Mao Zedong’s Ideology of Equality in His Twilight Years from May 7th Instruction

五七指示是毛泽东提出的关于改造社会的构想,蕴含着消灭社会分工和三大差别,实现人与人之间绝对平等的思想。文章分析了毛泽东晚年平等思想的成因,阐述了"新村主义"对毛泽东平等思想的影响以及他为之所进行的一系列实践活动,并简要评价了其平等思想的局限性。

May 7th Instruction is an idea of transforming society proposed by Mao Zedong, which involvs the ideas of eradicating social division of labor, three major differences and achieving absolute equality among people. This paper anal- yzes the cause of Mao Zedong’s ideology of equality in his twilight years, and reviews the impact of"New Village"to Mao Zedong’s ideology of equality and a series of practical activities carried by him. Finally, the author gives a brief comment on the limitations of his ideology of equality.
