The Impact of Beijing Olympic Games’Politicization on the Development of Chinese Society

自北京申办奥运会成功以来,奥运政治化一直困扰中国。2008年起,西方社会就缅甸、达尔富尔、西藏等问题掀起一波又一波的抵制奥运会的浪潮。由于西方对中国崛起的担忧以及其中心主义的影响,奥运政治化在中国主要表现为民族问题国际化、统一问题集中化、人权问题焦点化以及中西分歧社会化等特点。回顾和总结奥运会,政治化对中国社会的发展有着深远的影响。

Since the success of obtaining the bid to host the Olympic Games, the Beijing Olympics has been plagued by the politicization. With the Beijing Olympics drawing on, the west society is setting off waves of resisting the Olympic Games, because of Burma, Darfur, and the Tibet issue. As the West is anxious for the rise of China as well as its impact of the center doctrine, the politicization of the Olympic Games in China is mainly about internationalizing the national issues, centralizing the issue of unification, the focus of the issue of human rights and the socializing the differences between China and West countries. In this aspect, China will adopt relevant measures to solve it in order to ensure the smooth progress of the Beijing Olympic Games. Although the Beijing Olympics has been closed, the politicization will deeply infcuence the development of Chinese society.
