A Legal Culture Study on Political Probity——Focusing on the Emperors and Ministers in Song Dynasty

政治清明是中国传统政治文化的核心内容之一。政治清明的追求在赵宋皇帝和士大夫群体中表现尤为突出,表现在他们重视法制建设与法律知识,弘扬并践行恤刑慎刑思想,严防和重惩官员贪赃枉法,注重诉讼权利以保障民权等方面。其原因在于赵宋君臣达成了"防五季之弊"的政治共识,受到了"内省而广大"的宋文化的影响,并且适应丰富而多彩的经济生活的需要。

Probity was a key part of political tradition in China.The emperors and ministers’ pursuit of the political probity in Song dynasty was especially outstanding.Their performances included paying much attention to the construction of legal system and legal knowledge,promoting and practicing the cautious criminal idea,serious punishment against corrupt officials,and guaranteeing civil rights by listing litigation rights.The reasons for that were they had reached the political agreement that on how to keep Song dynasty from collapse like the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms,the Song culture had a great influence on political and legal practice of the emperors and ministers of Song dynasty,so they met the need of economic development.
