The Positive Influence of the Revolution of 1911 on the Trend of Reforming Nationality

辛亥革命对于近代国民性改造思潮具有很多积极的影响。辛亥革命后法理型权威在形式上的确立为资产阶级改造国民性提供了合法性依据;临时政府有关教育和社会习俗改革的制度措施为国民性改造提供了有利的政策环境;辛亥革命后对思想启蒙的深入认识促使资产阶级革命派更多的关注改造国民性。以此为鉴,在当前中国现代化的关键时期,理应更加注重政治变革与思想启蒙之间的关系,将政治的现代化与"人"的现代化有机结合起来。

The revolution of 1911 had many effects on the trend of reforming nationality.The legalnational authority’s establishment in form provides the capitalist class a legal backup to reform nationality.To reform education and social customs,the interim government provides a favorable policy environment.And the deeper understanding of thought enlightenment after the Revolution urged the capitalist class revolutionaries to pay more attention to nationality reformation.Taking these as a warning,in the current critical period of China’s modernization,we should emphasize the relationship of political transformation and thought enlightenment,and then combine the political modernization with personal modernization organically.
