The Astrological Basis of Calendar in Ancient China

中国古代天文与星占关系密切,然而,历法的星占学基础长期没有受到重视。在大量文献记录基础上,从历法测算系统的定义、气朔闰余的安排、五星推步等内容入手,在澄清历法体系发展原理基础上,讨论政治星占学和卦候说的影响及其相互促进的过程。本文试图为理解中国古代历法提供一个新的视角。

As everyone knows, astronomy had an intimately relationship with astrology in ancient China. However, the astrological basis of calendar generating and developing has not been taken seriously for a long time. On the basis of a lot of documentary records, this papers studies the definitions of observation and numeration system of calendar, the arrangement of the solar terms and the new moon and epact, and the calculation of the five planets. Based on explaining the scientific principles of calendar system, it has discussed the influence of political astrology and divination symbols and the process of their mutual promotion. It tries to provide a new viewpoint on understanding calendar in ancient China.
