Career Orientation and Required Professional Quality and Skills of Educators in Science and Technology Museums in China

科技博物馆教育人才队伍建设是业界长期关注和当前面临的紧迫问题。本文从分析科技博物馆要不要开展教育活动、应开展什么样的教育活动及由此决定的科技博物馆教育人员的工作任务这三个根本问题入手,通过阐述世界科技博物馆教育活动发展趋势和特点、国内外科技博物馆优秀教育活动案例,确定了科技博物馆教育活动的功能定位与特征定位,提出了科技博物馆教育人才的职业定位和所应具备的专业素质与技能。

Cultivating educators in science and technology museums has long been an urgent issue for museums.The paper makes an exploration from three aspects,i.e.whether it is necessary to hold educational activities in science and technology museums,what kind of activities should be launched,what are the educators’tasks related to their working contents.It then illustrates the trend and features of educational activities in global science and technology museums,analyzes the excellent cases in such museums at home and abroad,sets the functional and feature orientations of educational activities,and finally proposes the career orientation and required professional quality and skills of educators in science and technology museums.
