公众科学的发展及对我国的启示

The Development of Citizen Science and Its Implications for China

随着教育水平的提高以及互联网和通讯技术的普及,公众科学近20年取得了快速发展,呈现出涉及领域广、参与者众多和国际合作趋势明显等特点,在科学传播和普及、非正式科学教育和科学决策民主化等方面都有广泛影响。我国公民科学素质水平相对不高,公众科学尚处于初步实践阶段,国外公众科学对我国科学普及和科学教育等领域的发展有重要启示。

Citizen science has made substantial contributions to science,education,and society.With the improvement of education and the popularity of communication technologies,citizen science has developed rapidly in the past 20 years.Engaging large numbers of volunteers to generate observations,citizen science has become increasingly important to science research and has influence on science popularization,informal science education,and scientific decision-making.However,the public’s scientific literacy is low in China,only a few institutions and organizations are conducting citizen science projects,and the value of citizen science to science and society is still underappreciated,this paper will discuss the impact of citizen science on China.
