The Epic of Gilgamesh is the highest achievement in literature of Babylon. This article intends to explain this epic ecological consciousness from the perspective of ecological criticism, and with Enkidu as the breakthrough point, to probe into the evolution of the relationship between human and nature, further to reveal the ecological awareness of the ancient Babylonians and the warning it has for us.
