新闻标题的人际意义探究——以马航370的英文报道为例

A Study on Interpersonal Meanings of Headlines of the English Coverage of Malaysia Airline Flight 370

"看书先看皮,看报先看题"。作为新闻的眼睛,新闻标题总是以最精练的字眼把最重要最新鲜的信息加以浓缩和概括,及时传递给读者,迅速抓住读者眼球,令读者产生浓厚的兴趣。本文以功能语法理论框架下的人际功能理论为基础,从人际功能的语气、情态、人称和词汇等角度对有关马航370新闻报道的标题进行人际意义分析,以探究新闻标题如何甄选恰当的语言,提炼精准的信息,以合理的时态,规范的人称实现最有效的受众互动。

'Reading the topic first when one reads a book, and reading the headline first when one reads a newspaper.' The headline, as the eye of news, always selects the most concise words to condense and generalize the most important and the newest information so as to timely deliver it to the readers by attracting reader's interest and attention.Based on the interpersonal function of functional grammar theory, this paper explores how to realize the most effective reader-interaction by means of selecting proper words to refine the accurate information in reasonable tense and person through the analysis of the interpersonal meaning with respect to news report of Malaysia Airline Flight 370from the perspectives of mood, modality, person and word at micro-level.
