Alexis Wright is a contemporary indigenous writer of Australia. In her Carpentaria, there are two different kinds of writings about nature: the one destroyed by colonists and the other being in harmony with the aborigines. From the perspective of cultural politics, the nature is no less than a material existence, but interwoven with the cultural, political and power discourses, and it becomes a strategic expression conveying the national grand narration. By depicting the unique nature in Carpentaria,Wright expresses her profound thinking about the construction of aboriginal people's culture identity, the harmonious coexist mode between human and nature, and the means of realizing cultural fusion.
