The Romantic “Adventure” Doomed to Fail——A Study on the Process of the Publishing of Honghei Magazine

《红黑》月刊是一部由沈从文、胡也频、丁玲三人合力筹资创办的文艺同人刊物,专注于文学创作。《红黑》月刊是他们三人在上海当时恶劣的商业环境中,争取文学独立与自由的一次浪漫"冒险"与勇敢试验。但在出版至第8期后终刊,主要与资金短缺、创作队伍狭窄、脱离文学生产与消费环境、思想走向分歧等因素有关。《红黑》月刊虽然最终走向失败,但它为丁玲与沈从文今后从事的编辑事业提供了重要的经验和启示。

Honghei Magazine is a literary publication jointly sponsored by Shen Congwen,Hu Yepin and Ding Ling,focusing on literary creation.Honghei Magazine is a romantic'adventure'and brave trial for them to endeavour to literary independence and freedom in harsh business environment of Shanghai.However,Honghei Magazine was stopped publication after the publication of the 8 th issue due to many factors such as shortage of funds,narrow creative team,separation from literary production and consumption environment,and divergence of ideas.Although Honghei Magazine eventually failed,it provided important experience and inspiration for Ding Ling and Shen Congwen’s future editorial career.
