简析译文典雅度与中国译者的翻译文化心理

Elegance of the English-Chinese Translation and Culture Psychology of Chinese Translators

依据翻译文化学原理和文化心理学对翻译行为影响理论,回顾中国历史上重要译者的翻译思想和实践,并考察若干译例,发现中国译者普遍对译文典雅度十分重视,提示中国译者在翻译实践中,对外国文化尤其西方文化一贯怀有良好而积极的文化心理,并力争通过提升译文典雅度产出翻译精品,为西方文化在中国的传播做出了巨大贡献。

Based on the culture translating theory and the statements that translator's cultural psychology can affect translating process,this paper studies the translating thoughts and their ideals of several famous Chinese translators,finding that all of them pay great attention to maintaining or even up-grading the elegance level of their translations in order to improve the foreign culture's international spread through their work,which obviously reflects their active and positive cultural psychology. Taking some translations as examples,the paper illustrates that Chinese translators contribute a lot in introducing foreign cultures into China,which is worth fully appreciating.
