Although vanguard literature has gone down for about twenty years,Mo Bai has been standing fast to his post as a representative writer. But his novel Murder and Finality sees his self-growth and self-change which are not meticulously realized,but determined by his home complex. Mo Bai's novel presupposes a possibility in which vanguard writing can be done in the contemporary context and can possibly offer an inspiration to the literature in the period of social transition.
