涉外星级酒店的英文简介作为外国宾客了解酒店服务设施和水平的最直接、最便捷的平台,其翻译质量直接影响着对外宣传效应。根据顺应论的指导,酒店简介翻译应是一个关于文化背景导向、原信息的理解和原文陈述的复杂的选择过程,替代、增译、省略和重组这四种翻译技巧为改善郑州市酒店简介的英文翻译提供了依据。
English profiles of starred hotels serve a direct and convenient platform for foreign guests to understand the level of hotel services and facilities and their C-E translations undoubtedly affect the publicity effect. Under the guidance of adaptation theory, the translation of hotel profile can be regarded as a complex selection which is culture-oriented, involving the understanding and statement of original texts. Such translation techniques as substitution, addition, omission and reconstruction provide a basis for the improvement of C-E translation of Zhengzhou starred hotel profiles.
