研究中国象棋文化的策源地,离不开荥阳北部的广武山。楚汉争雄,鸿沟为界,相持经年,留下了波澜壮阔的历史画卷和"楚河汉界"等厚重的历史文化遗迹。中国古代象棋包括棋盘结构、棋子颜色、博弈格局的设定等,从刘邦、项羽集团双方对垒攻战的历史中汲取了丰富的营养并逐步发展完善,一直是人们喜闻乐见的比拼智力的娱乐竞技项目,具有持久的生命活力。

Two thousand years ago, Mount Guangwu in north Xingyang, which is recognized as the place where Chinese chess was originated, saw decades of war between Chu and Han. It is here ChuheHanjie, the border of two opposing powers, that a magnificent historical scroll was opened up, leaving behind the abundant remains of ancient China. And it is from the battles between LIU Bang legion and XIANG Yu legion that Chinese chess took abundant nourishment to determine its check-board type, color of chess pieces and game layout until it was gradually perfected and grew to be a competitive intelligence practice loved by the masses.
