形象是决定文学作品艺术价值的重要因素,取决于作家的功力;而一国文学中的异国形象,则折射出作家作为形象塑造者所属文化在某一历史时期的思想和心态,分析刘跃利中篇小说《绝境》中具有典型意义的日本人和犹太人形象,既可以见出异国形象被创造的文化语境,及由此反映出的处于反讽与悖谬中的中国人的自我形象及国人心态,同时还能看到作者对特定时空中有着特殊文化底蕴和异域情调的哈尔滨城市形象的塑造。尽管《绝境》中的异国形象、自我形象与哈尔滨城市形象,乃是作家以历史的经线和想象的纬线精心编织的,但文学的价值正在于形象作为想象所具有的力量。

The creation of literary images is inseparable from the author's artistic skills. The image of"the other"in a certain country reflects the changes of the writers' mentality in a particular period of time in history. Through an analysis of the typical images of Japanese and Jews in the novel Aporia by Liu Yue li,the paper reveals the ironical and paradoxical self-image of Chinese people and the cultural and exotic image of the city Harbin in a certain time. It is the combination of the images of"the other","the self"and the city that results in the achievement of a great literary value.
