A new zinc electroplating in NH 4Cl bath and the brightening agent used are presented. The effects of brightening agent, bath components, pH value, current density, temperature and impurities on the quality of coating, polarization, throwing power and covering power are discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of the process are also discussed.
