摘要英国当代著名小说家阿兰·霍林赫斯特撰写的长篇小说《美丽曲线》(The line of Beauty)是一部优秀的上乘之作,集文学性、艺术性、美学哲学于一体,尤其是音乐和绘画,舒曼、贝多芬、斯特劳斯的交响乐,还有高更等大师的画作,为小说添彩增色不少。该小说曾荣获2004年度英国最高文学奖——布克奖。本文拟对该小说主要人物和写作手法作一简评,以期深化该小说的可读性。
