关于契丹小字中的方位名称“东”

East"as a Cardinal Point in Khitan Small Scripts

上世纪90年代日本学者丰田五郎先生释读了表示“东”的契丹小字划大化。另一个表示“东”的契丹小字(?)却一直没有引起各家的注意。比较研究中发现(?)的读音与蒙古语中的“东”的读音相近。

The Japanese scholar Mr. Tyoudagoro interpreted the Khitan small script (?) which means 'east'in the 1990s. However,another Khitan small script (?) which means 'east'has not been noticed by the scholars. In The comparative study it is found that the pronunciation of (?) is very close to that of the word'east'in Mongolian.
