淀粉利用能力作为疫霉种的鉴别性状 被引量:5

STARCH UTILIZATION CAPABILITY AS A DIAGNOSTIC CHARACTER FOR SPECIES SEPARATION IN PHYTOPHTHORA

摘要 在适宜的合成培养液中,所试验的各个疫霉种对于淀粉作为碳源的利用能力有极显著的差异。在分类工作中可以根据这一性状来鉴别疑难的种,特别是Phytophthora parasitica 和 P.palmivora。 In a slightly modified Hwang-Hsu-Lin's basal synthetic solution containing 0.01 M.(NH_4)_2SO_4,0.02 M.malic acid,1.0 g.CaCl_2,0.5g.KH_2PO_4,0.5g.K_2HPO_4,0.5g.MgSO_4.7H_2O,40mg.Fe_2(SO_4)_3,0.4mg.ZnSO_4,0.4mg.MnSO_4,and 1.0mg.thiamine hydro-chloride per liter,differential capabilities of starch utilization showed up very well among thespecies of Phytophthora tested.For all of them,glucose was again proved to be a fullyadequate source of carbon.When soluble starch was used as a substitute for glucose,how-ever.P.infestans (Mont.) de Bary and P.boehmeriae Sawada did not grow at all,P.parasiticaDastur and P.parasitica var.nicotianae (Breda de Haan) Tucker made only a very small amountof growth,and P.colocasiae Racib.and P.palmivora Butler grew luxuriantly.Differentisolates of the same species or variety responded similarly in the starch medium.It is therefore suggested that the culture in the synthetic starch-containing solution mayserve as an additional means for accurate identification of different species of Phytophthora,particularly in cases of P.parasitica and P.palmivora.
