试论社会语言学中拉波夫的语言变异研究

Labov's Studies of Language Variation in the Field of Sociolinguistics

拉波夫在各个时期所做的语言变异研究,总结出了社会语言学是一种以外部社会因素对语言产生影响为研究的主要对象,运用定量分析等"拉式模式"的研究方法来揭示语言的变异,从而体现语言结构的微观语言学。这一结论对结构主义语言学进行了重大反驳,也对世界语言学的发展起到了决定性的作用。

By discussing the studies of language variation which were made by Labov in different periods,this paper concludes that sociolinguistics is a kind of micro-language which studies the influence of external social factors on language,and reveals the variation of language by means of 'La-mode' research methods such as quantitative analysis,so as to embody the language structure in micro-language.This conclusion refutes structuralist linguistics’ ideas and plays a decisive role in the development of world linguistics.
