Owing to the rapid change of business environment, employees' creativity is considered to be pivotal resources for the survival and competition of organizations. However, the increasingly emotional reactions of employees, caused by complex requirements of work may influence their creativity enhancement. In this paper,we clarify the concepts and measurement of affect,as well as its effect on creativity by systematically reviewing the existing literature of affect and creativity. Then,we construct a theoretical model to investigate the effect of dynamic affect on creativity. Specifically,we put forward some propositions regarding its main effect, underlying mechanism and boundary conditions. Finally,we conclude by discussing the theoretical contributions,as well as the future research directions and managerial implications.
