轻摇手中一把薄扇,丝丝凉意扑面而来,虽不能完全抵御热浪,但人们也因短暂的舒爽而不舍将它放下。有人说:我的第一把扇子是我的手掌。仔细想来,这话并没有什么不对。五指并拢,如扇如刀,或轻摇,或挥舞,便有凉风转瞬而至,转瞬而去。许多个炎热的夏日,自会有人如此这般,用手掌随着手腕运动,既累且傻,赊来清风一点,聊胜于无。扇子的前世今生不要小看一把小小的扇子。
Fans are usually the practical things.With a thin and large area,a fan can be used to reduce temperature.China always has the tradition to decorate the daily-use utensils.Therefore,the handles and mounts of fans are usually carved with something and the fan sectors are decorated with calligraphy or painting works.In ancient times,the carving, calligraphy and paining works were usually the works of the ordinary craftsmen.Gradually the talented artists joined the creation team.As a result, fans have evolved into the present-day artwork,which accordingly become a category in the present-day collection circle. It is not an easy issue to write Chinese characters or paint pictures on the fans.Due to the diversification of fan shapes and raw materials, exquisite design and repeated practice are necessary to create calligraphic and painting works on fans.According the ancient experience,the following styles are usually utilized.The first style follows the rules of one line long and one line short,which is feasible for the calligraphic works of running script.The second style is every line having the equal amount of Chinese characters,which is feasible for the calligraphic works of clerical script and regular script.Seal characters and oracle bone scripts are also suitable for this style.The third style is one Chinese character makes up one llne, which is suitable for writing the large Chinese characters.
