岁月不居,时节如流。2019年如约而至,烟台也从改革开放40年积累的基业再次出发。回望2018,烟台肩负起新旧动能转换综合试验区核心城市这一国家使命,确立了'加快建设制造业强市、海洋经济大市、宜业宜居宜游城市和现代化国际滨海城市'的目标定位,奋力前行并交出满意答卷:预计实现生产总值7900亿元,增长6.5%左右;城镇居民人均可支配收入增长7.6%左右。

The Economic Work Conference of Yantai City was held on the morning of Jan.03. By making in-depth studies and implementation of the spirit of the Central Committee and provincial economic work conferences, the conference reviewed and summarized the economic work of Yantai City in 2018 and arranged and deployed the major eight tasks of economic development in 2019: accelerating the quality development of the manufacturing industry, speeding up the development of marine economy, accelerating the implementation of the strategy of rural revitalization, faster deepening the reform in every field, accelerating high-level opening-up, speeding up the construction of a city suitable for working, living and traveling, faster enhancing people’s wellbeing and accelerating the improvement economic leadership. In 2019 Yantai will march forward to carry out the mission and create new chapters with efforts for quality development. The seas are the 'treasure bowl' of abundant resources, 'new battlefield' of modern science and technology, 'source' of new industries, and 'major channel' connecting the five continents. The economic work conference of the city proposed to give full play to the unique advantages of Yantai City in broad sea areas, long coastline and bountiful marine resources and accelerate the construction of a big city with marine economy by focusing on the 'six breakthroughs' in marine fishery, marine engineering equipment manufacturing, marine biopharmaceutical industry, marine cultural tourism, marine transportation and sea water desalinization and comprehensive utilization. Now the reform and opening up have undergone four decades, bringing about great changes to the economy and society in Yantai City and practical bonuses to people’s lives. An advance in the new era with quality development cannot be separated from the continuous release of bonuses of reform. The conference made new deployment and requirements about deepening the reform in every field and carry through the implementation of the reform.For the next step, Yantai will unswervingly address the rectification and reform of the feedback issues raised by the central committee and provincial inspection to ensure a thorough and proper correction, resolutely fight for the blue sky, clear water and clean soil, further carry out the prevention and treatment of air pollution, strictly implement the system of river chiefs and lake chiefs, actively promote the three-year keyproblem tackling initiative of afforestation and the afforestation and beautification of key regions and accelerate the implementation of the ecological rehabilitation projects of the coastline, island line and bare mountains to achieve bluer sky, clearer water and fresher air in Yantai. A city suitable for working, living and traveling makes it possible to settle happiness and dreams.
