To Have a Spring Festival in Bliss, Blessing and Longevity in Nanshan(South Mountain)

山东龙口南山旅游景区是以佛教文化、历史文化和民俗文化为主线建设的国家5A级旅游景区,景区拥有多处佛教历史遗迹,南山禅寺前身是龙口市境内最古老的佛教寺院——石泉寺,香水庵原名响水庵,始建于明朝天启年间,1999年重修扩建,后建设了南山大佛和南山药师玉佛,成为景区两大佛教文化亮点。景区内晨钟暮鼓,梵音袅袅,依托佛教文化开展的行禅养生、康养旅游等文化活动蓬勃开展。

Shandong Longkou Nanshan(South Mountain)Scenic Spot is anAAAAA national-level one constructed with Buddhist culture,historical culture and folk culture as the main line.There are many Buddhist historical relics in the scenic spot.For instance,Nanshan Zen Temple,the precursor of which is Longquan(Dragon Spring)Temple,the oldest Buddhist temple in the territory of Longkou;and Xiangshui(Fragrant Water)Buddhist Nunnery(香水庵),(originally named as Xiangshui(Ringing Water)Buddhist Nunnery)(响水庵),which was first built in the Tianqi Reign of the Ming Dynasty and renovated and extended in 1999.Later the construction of Nanshan Buddha and Nanshan Jade Medicine Buddha was added,which have become two Buddhist cultural highlights in the scenic spot.Amid the morning bells,evening drums and mantras of the Sanskrit,the cultural activities of Zen health-preserving and healthcare tourism were held flourishingly.
