“Sculpting Time” on Leather

皮雕艺术源于欧洲,是以皮革为材料,利用皮革的延展性来做浮雕式图案的一种雕刻工艺,风格复古优美。在潍坊奎文区有这样一位能工巧匠,他用手中的刻刀赋予皮革不一样的生命与灵魂,他就是潍坊杨氏皮雕第15代传承人—杨瑞峰。2018年11月23日,记者来到潍坊大虞古玩城—杨瑞峰的工作室,他正一丝不苟地雕刻一幅叫做《唐草》的作品,不时还会露出孩童般满意又开心的笑容。

Yang Ruifeng,the fifth generation of the Yang’s leather sculpting art of Weifang,is a skilful craftsman in Kuiwen District of Weifang who gives leather a different life and soul with the nicking knife in his hand.As an important category of China’s leather sculpting art,Weifang leather sculpting art demands high skills of the craftsmen.Despite the complex making process,Yang Ruifeng has always been unhurried.Depending on his successive and diligent research and production,he has mastered the delicate craftsmanship of leather sculpting art.
