On January 9,2019,the State Council approved the abolition of Laiwu city,and assigned its jurisdiction to Jinan city.Laiwu district and Gangcheng district were established,becoming the youngest district of Jinan.A plan that conceived a long time ago has become a reality.Millions of people in Laiwu become the citizens of Jinan city,enjoying the same rights and interests as people in Jinan.
