My Grandfather “Mr.Ge”

我的姥爷葛怡斋先生,昌乐县鄌郚镇人。12岁学中医,81岁无疾而终。在镇区开中药铺,门口总是贴这样两幅对联:万卷奇书仁一字,几筐异草寿千家;不怕架上药生尘,但愿世间病人稀。老人家慈眉善目,待人和蔼。说话慢条斯理的,嗓音略带沙哑。说话做事认真、严谨。给人开药方,全是用毛笔写正楷。我上大学的时候,姥爷给我写信,也是用毛笔写正楷。他对文字很恭敬,经常说字是神圣的,遇到带字的纸不能随便扔,要捡起来烧掉。

“Mr.Ge”,whose full name is Ge Yizhai,is my grandfather.In rural areas,people used to call doctors"Mister"and my grandfather is such a doctor,well known as"Mr.Ge".My grandfather always writes his prescriptions for patients in regular script with brush?He also wrote me letters in regular script when I was in college.His handwriting is very beautiful.
