There are countless evaluations about Li Hongzhang in history,but Liang Qichao’s comments were commonly reckoned as the fairest.As he said,needless to say whether he was an extraordinary arch-careerist or hero,his behavior in his position could not be judged by people viewing with ordinary eyes and tongues.On this basis,he made a sigh throughout ages that he respected Li Hongzhang’s talents,cherished his insight and was sad about his experiences.
