Xin Qiji was born in presentday Sifengzha Village,Yaoqiang Town,Licheng District,Jinan City,Shandong.Unlike pure scholars,Xin Qiji was not only a man of letters,but also a man of soldierly bearing.He was even more inclined to be a general galloping on to the battlefield and commanding an army,rather than to be a poet reciting and writing verses.That per iod o f res i s t ing J in in Shandong was unforget t a b le for Xin Qiji,and even became his inexhaustible spiritual strength and creative source in the subsequent forty or fifty years.
