Thus,24 is four twos multiplied together.Or 16; while 25 is five twos muhiplied together,or 32.Nine twos multiplied together,or 29,is 512.Since 16×32 =512,we can say 24×25=29.Instead of multiplring numbers,we add exponents.This turns out to be a general rule.In the same way,instead of dividing numbers,we can subtract exponents.
