政治领导本领是党的十九大提出的全新概念,其内涵主要包括政治能力和领导能力两个方面。在两者关系上,政治能力是前提、是基础,领导能力是实现科学执政的核心要素。加强政治历练是提高政治能力的关键,要在思想观念上提高对党的忠诚度、加强马克思主义理论素养,在党内政治生活中主动接受锤炼,在实践中增强做好群众工作的本领、在复杂斗争中积累政治经验。领导者要学会处理好理论与实践的关系,只有善于从书本上学习,善于在实践中学习,加强实践锻炼,才能促进领导者综合素质的不断提高,形成较强的科学决策能力、统筹全局的能力和勇于创新的能力,成为一名优秀的领导者。

Political leadership is a new concept set forth in the report to the Party's 19 th Congress,featuring political and leadership abilities,of which,the former is the prerequisite and basis,the latter the core for sound governance. The key to increasing political leadership is to strengthen political experiences,remain loyal to the Party,enhance the attainment on Marxist theories,take the challenges and tests in the political activities within the Party,improve the ability to engage with the people,and accumulate political experience in complicated struggles.Party leaders should readily learn from both books and practice,enrich practical experiences so as to constantly promote their overall competence,fostering strong abilities for sound decision-making,innovation,thinking in big-picture terms,and hence becoming qualified leaders.
