中国红色革命文化,孕育于1919年五四新文化运动,形成于中国共产党领导的新民主主义革命时期,发展于新中国成立后从新民主主义革命向社会主义革命的过渡时期,是中国共产党领导人民在革命斗争中创造的先进文化,贯穿于红船精神、井冈山精神、长征精神、延安精神、西北坡精神之中。它是建设和改革中创造的先进文化的先声和源头,是坚定文化自信的精神支柱。红色革命文化是阶级性和科学性的统一、革命性和先进性的统一、实践性与人民性的统一、民族性与国际性的统一、继承性和创新性的统一,兼收并蓄和与时俱进的统一。传承和弘扬红色革命文化是中国共产党人的一项严肃政治担当,其所以必须继承和弘扬,最根本的依据是它为我们的革命、建设和改革提供了强大的精神支撑,显示巨大的精神动力。

The'red'revolutionary culture,born in the May 4 th New Culture Movement in 1919,was formed during the period of the New Democratic Revolution led by the Communist Party of China,developed in the course of the transitionfrom the New Democratic Revolution to the Socialist Revolution after the founding of the People’s Republic of China.Itis an advanced culture created by the Communist Party in leadingthe revolutionary struggle.It is embodied in the Red Boat Spirit,the Jinggang Mountains Spirit,the Long March Spirit,the Yan’an Spirit,and the Xibeipo Spirit.It is the herald and source of the advanced culture created in the socialist construction and reform,and the pillar of our cultural confidence.The revolutionary culture features the unity of class and science,the revolutionary and the advanced,the practice and the peopleinternational,the inheritance and advancement,and the inclusiveness and the advancement with the times.To pass on and carrying forward the revolutionary culture is an earnest political responsibility of Chinese Communists,for it offers a strong spiritual support for our revolution,socialist construction and reform,showing great spiritual force.
