“‘九一八’抗战”说评析

A Refutation of the Expression——the “September 18th Resistance”

九一八事变是日本发动的武力侵华事件,是中国的国难和国耻。抗战是中国军民抵抗日本侵略的正义战争,是光荣行动。"九一八"与"抗战"不能兼容。"九一八"之夜,沈阳北大营个别部队掩护退却的枪声,不能抵消九一八事变中整体的不抵抗方针。不能把整个东北沦亡过程统称为"九一八事变时期",为提出"‘九一八’抗战"说而生造的"九一八事变时期"说不能成立。日军侵占东北三省过程中,中国一方应对日军进攻东北各地,总体上是不抵抗方针,辽西撤守尤为典型。故"九一八"和东北沦亡,是与不抵抗相连,而不是与抗战相连。历史上,一二八事变、七七事变,同时可称"一二八(淞沪)抗战"、"七七(卢沟桥)抗战",而从来没有称"九一八(沈阳)抗战"的。这是历史的裁判和结论。

The September 18 th Incident was a violent aggression initiated by the Japanese aggressors.It was a calamity and humiliation for the Chinese nation.The'war of resistance against Japanese aggression'is a just war,a glorious action for Chinese soldiers and civilians to fight against Japanese aggressors.However,the'September 18 th Incident'is not compatible with the'war of resistance'.On the night of'September18 th',the gunshots fired by the troops of the north barracks(Beidaiying)in Shenyang to cover the retreat cannot offset the overall nonNortheast Provinces in a term of'the Period of the September 18 th Incident'.It is invalid to coin this term to support the so-called'September 18 th Resistance'.In the process of the Japanese invasion of the Northeast,the Chinese side,in response to the Japanese attacks on the various places of the Northeast,virtually acted on a nonresistance policy,and the retreat from the Western Liaoning was just a case in point.Therefore,the'September18 th Incident'and the fall of the Northeast are closely associated with non-resistance rather than resistance.Historically,the'December 8 th Incident'and the'July 7 th Incident'are also called the'December 8 th(or Songhu)Resistance',the'July 7 th(or Lugouqiao)Resistance'respectively.However,there is never such a term as the'September 8 th(or Shenyang)Resistance'.This is a judgement and conclusion by the history.
