Random Multielement Code PPM Pulse Sequence and Its Average Ambiguity Function

本文提出了用随机多元码进行脉位调制(PPM)获得随机信号雷达波形的新方法。推导并分析了随机多元码PPM脉冲序列的平均模糊函数。结果表明,随机多元码PPM脉冲序列作为雷达发射波形同时具有良好的无模糊测距和测速性能,是一种适合于用来取代周期性脉冲序列和周期性参差序列的随机信号雷达波形。

The new method for obtaining a random signal radar waveform by means of random multi- element code PPM is proposed.The average ambiguity function of the random multielement code PPM pulse sequence is developed and analyzed.The result shows that the random pulse sequence has good characteristics of measuring the range and the velocity unambiguously.This waveform can be used to replace the periodical pulse sequence and the staggered pulse sequence.
