刘六桥作为民国时期广西名医,一生致力于中医药临床及教育事业的发展,培养了国医大师班秀文等诸多名医。他重视经典,师古而不泥古,临证圆活多变,力挽急危重症,提倡甘温除大热大冷论,重视嗣育,提出寡欲养精、少生优生的观点,善治广西地方常见病,并极为重视民间医药的运用,为后世留下了宝贵的财富。其临床经验及学术思想极具特色,并有一定的先进性,总结研究其相关内容,对于丰富八桂医学、总结广西常见病及特色疗法等具有积极作用。

LIU Liu-qiao was a famous doctor in Guangxi during the period of Republic of China.He devoted himself to the development of clinical and educational undertakings of traditional Chinese medicine and cultivated many famous doctors such as BAN Xiu-wen,one of the national masters of traditional Chinese medicine.He payed much attention to the classics,inherited the ancient but did not fall into it,applied them in clinical treatment flexibly.He advocated the theory of eliminating high fever and extreme cold with sweet and warm drug,attached great importance to the heir and women’s delivery,put forward the view of reducing desire to nourish the essence,and giving fewer and healthier births.Besides,he accomplished at the treatment of Guangxi local common diseases,and emphasized the use of folk medicine.In conclusion,LIU Liu-qiao has left us a precious wealth.LIU’s clinical experience and academic thoughts are extremely characteristic and advanced.Summarizing and studying the relevant contents has a positive effect on enriching Guangxi’s medicine,summarizing common diseases and characteristic treatments of Guangxi.
