语料库视角下词汇语用研究

A Corpus-based Study on Pragmatic Use of Vocabulary

对词汇的学习是掌握一门语言的基础,随着全球化时代的到来,英语已经成为来自不同国家的人们彼此之间交流的通用语。近几年,我国也掀起了学习英语的热潮。在对英语词汇学习的过程中,大量的语言学习者发现英语中有很多近义词难以区分,如果单纯借助英汉词典或在线英语学习软件,无法获得近义词含义上的细微差别,容易导致近义词误用的后果。大数据时代的到来为研究人员提供了必要的研究手段,使用语料库和相关的分析软件对英语学习者的语言产出进行统计整理,并将其与英语本族语语料库中的语料进行对比,可以客观的分析总结出中国英语学习者与母语为英语的本族语者在使用近义词方面的异同。

Vocabulary learning is the basis of grasping a language. With the advent of globalization,English has become a universal language for communication among people from different countries. In recent years,China has seen a craze in learning English. In the process of English vocabulary learning,a great number of language learners have the difficulty of identifying synonyms. They cannot tell the subtle differences between synonyms if they only refer to some English-Chinese dictionaries or online English learning software. Consequently,there are some misuse of the synonyms. As the era of big data comes,language researchers are provided with some new research tools,such as corpus,which can be used in the contrastive analysis between the interlanguage produced by English language learners and the authentic English adopted by native speakers. Through this kind of comparison,the similarities and differences between the English learners and native speakers in the use of the English language can be detected.
