Comparison of Accreditation System for Engineering Technology Program between England and America

英美两国作为《悉尼协议》的正式成员,他们都将《悉尼协议》与本科层次工程技术类专业对应起来。通过对两国工程技术类专业认证主体和认证标准体系进行比较和分析,发现两国专业认证机构的发展历程、认证标准结构和内容等方面存在相似之处,但就认证机构职能范围、认证机构管理体系以及认证指标具体要求等方面来看各有特点。结合我国技术类专业建设目前存在的问题,为我国构建技术类专业认证体系的建议是:建立中国特色的技术类专业认证体系,健全职业资格制度,健全专业性组织。

ECUK and ABET have become the full signatory of the Sydney Accord for bachelor degree-level engineering technology program.Some similarities and differences have been drawn from the comparison of accreditation system for engineering technology program between ECUK and ABET.Both of ABET and ECUK have developed from self-regulated professional organizations,with the similar structure of criteria,while there are some differences in the functions and management system of accreditation body and the requirements of these criteria and content between ECUK and ABET.Some suggestions have been draw from the comparison of the accreditation body and accreditation criteria between ECUK and ABET for the establishment of engineering technology program accreditation system based on the problems existed in the development of technology programs in China,including the establishment of Chinese engineering technology program accreditation system,the improvement of professional qualification system and the professional organizations.
