The Industrial college originated from'the Industrial University'in the United Kingdom.The industrial college have become the main form of mixed ownership reform in Higher Vocational Education of China,After experiencing the period of spontaneous exploration from the perspective of school-enterprise cooperation and the period of conscious practice under the background of mixed ownership.The industrial college are confronted with a dual dilemma of unclear legal status and conflicting value orientation in their current development.In future,the development of industrial college will learn from the development experience of independent institutes and embark on the road from'secondary institutes'to'independent legal persons'.The purpose of running an industrial college will also return from'for-profit'appeal to'non-profit'adherence.
