Expressions of p53 and c-myc in small cell lung cancer and the clinical significance

目的 :研究p53 ,c myc基因产物在小细胞肺癌 (SCLC)中的表达 ,探讨与临床分期、淋巴结转移及预后的关系。方法 :采用免疫组化S P法对 3 6例原发性小细胞肺癌进行检测。结果 :p53、c myc蛋白表达及其共表达阳性率分别为 66.7% ,61.1% ,52 .8%。p53蛋白表达在I期与Ⅲ期之间有显著性差异。c myc蛋白表达率随分期增加而增高 ,但各期之间无显著性差异。共表达在各期之间无显著性差异。有无淋巴结转移两组相比 p53蛋白表达有显著性差异 ,c myc蛋白表达及共表达无显著性差异。术后生存时间≥ 18个月组与术后生存时间 <18个月组相比p53蛋白、c myc蛋白及共表达均有显著性差异。 结论 :p53蛋白和c myc蛋白在小细胞肺癌组织中均有较高的表达 ;p53蛋白与小细胞肺癌分期、淋巴结转移、预后相关 ;c myc蛋白表达越高预后越差 ,p53和c

Objective: To investigate the expressionsofp53 and c-myc in small cell lung cancer(SCLC)and the correlation with clinicalstaging,lymph node metastasis,and prognosis.Methods:Immunohis tochemistry(S-P method) was used to detect the expressions of p53 and c-myc in36 cases of primary SCLC. Results: In SCLC,the positive ratesof p53,c-myc ,and their concomitant expression were 66.7%,61.1%,and 52,8%respe ctively.There was significant difference of p53 expression between stage I andⅢ. Although c-myc expression and the concomitant expression of p53 and c-mychad no significant difference between different stages,the positive rate increas ed with the stages. Between cases without nodal metastasisand those with nodalmetastasis the positive rate of p53 expression was significant different. The e xpression of c-myc and the concomitant expression of p53 and c-myc had no stat istical significance in different groups. The positive rates of p53, c-myc,andtheir concomitant expression were significanly different between those who survi ved more than 18 months and those shorter than 18 months.Conclusion:Expressions of p53 and c-myc were frequent in SCLC.The expression of p53was correlated with clinical staging, lymph node metastasis,and prognosis. The h igher the expression of c-myc,the poorer the prognosis.The concomitant expressi on of p53 and c-myc indicates a poor prognosis in patients with SCLC.
