On the Concept of “Unity” in Yi Traditional Culture

彝族传统文化中"团结"观念的产生与流传有其独有的历史文化渊源。彝族人民自古以来对"团结"观念的认识与推崇,涉及个体家庭、家支姻亲、邻里村落以及民族国家等各个层面。当前,加强团结互助价值观的现代性调整与适应,对整个彝族地区的建设和发展有着深远的现实意义。

The generation and spread of 'Unity' concept in Yi traditional culture has its unique historical and cultural origins. Since the ancient times, Yi people have held the concept of 'Unity' in esteem, involving the individual family, the family clan and in-law, neighborhood and villages, as well as the minorities and nation state. Currently, strengthening the adjustment of 'Unity' value in modernistic way has had a profound practical significance to the whole construction and development of Yi ethnic group area.
