MRI measurement of parietal lobe volume in different genders of Han Chinese

摘要 目的采用MRI测量中国汉族不同性别正常人大脑顶叶体积。方法采用多中心研究形式,对100名18~70岁健康志愿者以T1加权三维磁化强度预备梯度回波序列行全脑扫描,手动勾画测量左右侧顶叶体积及全脑体积,并经标准化处理,比较男女性别间及左右侧间顶叶体积的差异,并评价顶叶体积与年龄的相关性。结果男性左侧实测顶叶体积为(113.05±11.14)cm^3,右侧为(111.75±10.61)cm^3;全脑体积为(1 605.90±115.05)cm^3。女性左侧实测顶叶体积为(103.75±9.96)cm^3,右侧为(102.22±9.31)cm^3;全脑体积为(1 444.56±93.26)cm^3。男性左右侧顶叶体积差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),而女性左右侧差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。男性全脑体积、左右侧顶叶体积均大于女性(P均<0.05)。男性左侧标准化顶叶体积与年龄呈轻度负相关(r=-0.31,P=0.03),男性右侧、女性左右侧标准化顶叶体积与年龄无明显相关性(P均>0.05)。结论中国汉族男性全脑体积和顶叶体积均显著大于女性;男性左右顶叶无明显差异,而女性左侧较大;男性随年龄增长更易出现顶叶体积缩小。 Objective To measure the volume of parietal lobe of different genders of Han nationality in China.Methods A multi-center study was conducted with 100 healthy volunteers aged 18 to 70 years old.3D T1W magnetization prepared rapid acquisition gradient echo sequence was used to perform whole-brain scan,and the volume of left and right parietal lobe and total brain volume were measured manually.After standardization,the differences of parietal volume were compared between male and female and between left and right sides,and the correlation between parietal volume and age was evaluated.Results In male,the left measured parietal volume was(113.05±11.14)cm^3,the right was(111.75±10.61)cm^3,and the total brain volume was(1 605.90±115.05)cm^3.In female,the left measured parietal volume of female was(103.75±9.96)cm^3,the right was(102.22±9.31)cm^3,and the total brain volume was(1 444.56±93.26)cm^3.There was no statistically significant difference of parietal volume between left and right sides in male(P>0.05),while there was a statistically significant difference in female(P<0.05).The total brain volume,left and right parietal lobe volume of male were all larger than those of female(all P<0.05).The volume of left parietal lobe had a negative correlation with age(r=-0.31,P=0.03)in male,while showed no significant correlation in right parietal lobe of male and bilateral parietal lobe of female(all P>0.05).Conclusion Both total brain volume and parietal volume of Han Chinese male are significantly larger than those of female.There is no difference between the left and right parietal lobes in male,while the left side is slightly larger than right side in female.A reduction in parietal volume with age is found in male.
