As a key part of the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine( TCM),TCM diagnosis has been applied from the traditional disease diagnosis to the judgment and maintenance of the whole life cycle function state of an individual. The health state is a summary of the overall state characteristics of different stages in the life process.Health status identification bases on the holistic thinking of TCM,adopts the principles of system engineering and the help of modern TCM diagnosis methods,in order to realize the judgment of health status of human body. As the core of TCM health management,it has the characteristics of overall,dynamic and individualized. With the advent of the era of big data and artificial intelligence,the identification of health status has also ushered in new opportunities and challenges. Only by clarifying health needs and making full use of favorable technologies,can we better leverage the advantages of original thinking of TCM to achieve the health goal of 'preventive treatment of disease'.
