LAI Xinsheng's Experience in Treating Bipolar Disorder with Combination of Acupuncture and Medication

介绍赖新生治疗双相障碍经验。认为痰、瘀、郁、火为双相障碍的主要病理因素。双相障碍以五脏失衡,重阴则郁;阳亢发狂,或有虚候;元神失主,阴阳转换失司为主要病机。治疗上主张分期论治,抑阴平阳;疏肝调气,重在治神;平调阴阳,以缓代发,并应用通元针法使之阴阳平衡。

This paper introduced LAI Xinsheng’s experience of treating bipolar disorder with combination of acupuncture and medication. Professor LAI believes that phlegm,stasis,stagnation and fire are the main etiological factors of bipolar disorder. The main pathogeneses are the disorder of five viscera,yin excess with stagnation,hyperactivity of yang with mania,deficiency syndrome,loss of primordial spirit and disorder of yin and yang transmission. It should be treated in stages with methods such as coordinating yin and yang,dispersing liver and regulating qi,focusing on healing spirit,balancing yin and yang and remitting for cure,and applying Tongyuan acupuncture( 通元针法)for the balance of yin and yang.
