This paper briefly introduces the connotation of knowledge- based economy and the concept and features of the tourist literature, expounds the necessity of developing and utilizing the tourist literature resources in the era of the knowledge- based economy, and probes into the models by that the library makes development and utilization of the tourist literature resources from angles of analyzing users' requirements, providing retrieval service and special literature service, and developing the tourist information resources with local features, etc.
